Beyond Kapchagay, the route transitions to regional tarred roads with occasional potholes, passing through Shengeldy village and the western park fringe before arriving at Basshi, the park headquarters situated on the northern boundary. The final approach winds through open grassland dotted with saxaul shrubs and rocky outcrops, offering views of the Ile-Alatau foothills.

Your driver meets you at the arrivals baggage-hall exit of your landing terminal, holding a name sign, and monitors your flight in real time. Depart between 08:00–10:00 to avoid mid-morning traffic congestion on the A3 near Almaty; the return route experiences heaviest traffic after 17:00.
