Transfer insights for Brno Airport

Brno Airport (BRQ) is a compact yet efficient gateway to the second-largest city in the Czech Republic. The two-terminals – a main terminal and a smaller arrivals section – streamline the process, allowing for quick disembarkation. Upon arrival, you'll find clearly marked pickup areas right outside the arrivals hall. A local quirk: check the flight information screens as you exit; they often provide updates on local transport services, including buses that serve the city.

The drive from Brno Airport to the city typically takes about 20 minutes via the D1 highway. This well-maintained road connects you directly to the city centre, but do keep an eye out for traffic, especially during rush hours. The route offers a glimpse of the surrounding countryside and occasional historic sites, making your journey not just practical, but pleasant.

Opting for a pre-booked private transfer is particularly smart in Brno. Unlike local taxis, which can sometimes take longer due to waiting times or availability, a private service guarantees prompt collection at the airport. Plus, you can avoid the stress of navigating public transport with your luggage. With landmarks like the Špilberk Castle waiting for you in the city, starting your journey smoothly sets the tone for your visit.
