Transfer from Davao Airport to Mati
Your journey from Davao Airport winds south-east along the Davao Oriental Highway, passing through lush farming villages, rice fields and coastal hills. You'll glimpse the distinctive Sleeping Dinosaur rock formation at Badas Point and traverse picturesque landscapes before arriving in Mati after approximately 2.5 hours.
Your driver meets you at the arrivals baggage-hall exit of your landing terminal, holding a name sign. The drive typically takes 2 hours 15 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes; morning departures avoid coastal traffic congestion. First-time visitors should note that Mati itself is a small, quiet port town; most tourists head immediately onward to Dahican Beach or island resorts via local tricycle or habal-habal (motorcycle taxi).
Public transport—Bachelor Express buses (4 hours, ₱392) or shared vans (2–3 hours, ₱220)—involve waiting at cramped terminals, unscheduled stops and uncertainty about onward connections to beaches. A private transfer gives you door-to-door comfort, real-time flight monitoring, and the flexibility to adjust your drop-off point to a resort or beach without negotiating with multiple drivers.
