Transfer from Gibraltar Airport to Cadiz

The journey begins at Gibraltar Airport, with a short run to the frontier and into La Línea de la Concepción. From there the A-383 carries you to exit 124 of the A-7, the main coastal motorway linking Algeciras and Los Barrios with Cádiz. Along the way the Higuerón viewpoint sits beside the A-383, giving a view back over the Rock and the bay before the road heads north-west.

Your driver meets you at the arrivals baggage-hall exit with a name sign, so there is no meeting point to search for. Allow about 1.5 hours including border time, since queues at the frontier build at busy times and traffic can slow the approach to Cádiz. In the city, the low-emission zone covers the historic centre and a stretch of the promenade, and old-town streets are restricted to residents and delivery vehicles during set hours. Ask for a drop-off at the ring road that skirts the old town and walk the last part.

The direct bus from La Línea's bus station runs at 07:00 and takes about 2h 30m, while the 20:30 departure takes 2h 55m and ends at Cádiz's bus station, so you must first reach La Línea and then fit a fixed timetable. A taxi avoids the timetable, but fares vary widely by vendor.
