The primary routes use Interstate 35E (the Stemmons Freeway) or the Dallas North Tollway, depending on the final destination. Peak congestion occurs weekday mornings from 7:00–9:30 AM and afternoons from 4:30–7:00 PM, when both highways experience heavy inbound and outbound traffic. The Stemmons Freeway is the most direct but can be congested; the North Tollway offers a faster alternative during peak periods.

At Love Field, pre-booking a Transfeero transfer beats hailing a taxi or using app-based services. Taxi ranks operate at the airport but often have queues during peak arrival times, and fares are metered (typically around $20–25 before tip). DART Light Rail via the Love Link shuttle offers a $3 day pass but requires two transfers and 40+ minutes total. Uber and Lyft are convenient but subject to surge pricing during peak hours, with fares ranging $15–30 depending on demand.
